Of mathematics
In class in those last few months,
Is now forgotten.
What was remembered
Were the major events, not
The syllabus work.
Naturally results
In the end appeared to merge –
The marks were the same.
Thus, warm episodes
Of mateship and new insights
Will be remembered.

Was to occur near the end
Of the final term.
